Flower Speak... the beauty found and design intelligence prompt a photographic study into nature...

Laguna Beach, CA

An interest in flowers in their natural environment has been a keen interest of photographer Jeff LeFever. His original inspiration was to digitally record what he saw as he walked the neighborhood of his Laguna Beach design studio, TheSHACK. Originally the flora was photographed wherever it was found to highlight a beauty that could be seen by anyone also looking. Later did the curiosity for studio lighting enter play to the photographic images.

THE ENGLISH GARDEN

LeFever's walks led him to a local Flower Shop, The English Garden, which became the stage for the majority of the LeFever Flora Photography work including the FloraGlossia® prints. In 2006, The English Garden put up a new web site and asked to use some of those images.

FLORAGLOSSIA ®

The FloraGlossia® images have been shown in several slide presentations including "A Meditation on the Architecture of Beauty". The reactions were a mixture of quiet awe to reports of indelible reflection for days after the shows. Plans are being made for early 2008 to launch a FloraGlossia® web site offering print sales. Book plans are also in the future line-up in a negotiation with The Foundation for the Biblical Arts. Agreements have been made for the use of the Flora images in the upcoming FBA web site.
